Toronto Maple Leafs Newark Sport reviews
The Leaf vs Oilers game was awesome
Came from Czech for a conference but was lucky enough to see two games here, Colorado and Edmonton. Shame Leafs has not signed Kaberle and Colorado Hejduk, so no Czechs on that one:-) But Hemsky and Smid on Edmonton - they were nice to see again.
Such an open game with 6:5 overtime win was truly amazing. The only thing that surprised me a bit was the atmosphere. Was hoping there will be non-stop cheering being here in Canada, but unfortunately it was close to NHL games I saw in USA - people in suits talking the whole game, cheering only for a goal or when the cube told them to...well, I suppose it gets better for play offs. Still, the way it is in Czech is completely different - people standing, everyone knows all the chants and there are minimums of ads disturbing the atmosphere. But of course, the stadiums are much smaller and people have been going to the same seat for generations so naturally each knows his or her place. You can search for Hc Kometa Brno fans video if you want to know what I am writing about:-)
As I said, that was the only little surprise, otherwise I was blown away and loved every second of it! Thank you!
